Frequently Asked Custom Golf Club Questions

Q. Why buy custom made clubs rather than brand name clubs or
    clubs off the shelf?

When you buy clubs off the shelf at various sporting good stores do they.......

a.    Complete a computer analysis to ensure the clubs fit your swing speed, attack and lie angles?

b.    Check to see if all shafts in the set are frequency  matched? If the shaft is listed as a regular flexed
shaft how do you know it really is?

c.    Do they measure you in the store to make sure the clubs are the right length for you?

d.     Do they measure your hand to make sure the right amount  of grip tape is placed under the grip?

e.    Do they let you try the clubs to make sure you are making solid contact and can they bend the clubs
so you will be able to make solid contact?

f.    Do they measure you swing speed to see what type of  stiffness you clubs need to be?

If you have bought a set of clubs from places that sell "off the shelf", or brand name clubs chances are you would have answered NO to all of the questions listed above.

At Mulligans Golf our customized clubs.......

a.   As of January 1st 2007, we now have the ability to complete an computer analysis on your golf swing
which ensures the clubs we will be making fit YOU based on YOUR specifications. To learn more about
our new fitting procedure click here!

b.    All shafts in a set of clubs made by Mulligans Golf are frequency matched.  A frequency analyzer is
used to make certain all shafts are the same flex.  This is critical to  ensure there is a consistent distance
between each club  in your bag.  Each club should have a distance gap of approximately ten yards.
For example if you hit your seven iron 150 yards you should be able to hit your six iron 160 yards.
This is ensured with frequency matching.  This service is provided free of charge when a set of
clubs is purchased at Mulligans Golf.

c.    A special measuring device is used to ensure clubs are measured to the appropriate length to
fit you.   Clubs off  the shelf do not fit everyone.  This service is provided free of charge when a
set of clubs is purchased at Mulligans Golf.

d.    A special measuring device is used to ensure the proper amount of grip tape is applied under
the grip. This service is provided free of charge when a set of clubs is purchased at Mulligans
        Golf.

e.    Demo clubs are available to try, if you purchase a set of clubs the lie can be adjusted to ensure
solid contact on the middle of the club face.  This service is provided free of charge when a
set of clubs is purchased at Mulligans Golf.

f.     One of the most critical areas of custom club fitting, your swing will be measured with a fitting
device to ensure the  proper flex shaft are used in your set of irons.   If the flex of the shaft is too stiff
or too flexible, you will lose distance and control of the ball when it leaves the club face.  This
service is provided free of charge when a set of clubs is purchased at Mulligans Golf.

Q.  Does it cost anything to be fit for Custom Clubs?

When purchasing a set of irons and/or woods, clients are custom fit prior to actually buying clubs.  Consumer that wish to be measured will be charged a flat rate fee of $25.00 during initial visit (computerized simulated fitting included).

The reason I've applied this charge is that clients previously would come  to me for  fittings then
purchase clubs from other Clubmakers or shops after the initial visit.

If the client purchases a set of clubs through Mulligans Golf, a twenty  dollar  discount will be given
on the price of the clubs.
